Chairman of the Board
Dr. Julian Schofield is chairman of the board at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies and Associate Professor of at department of political science at Concordia University, Montreal. He formerly served as a Captain with the Royal Canadian Military Engineers. Dr. Schofield's research focuses on security and strategic studies in South and Southeast Asia.
Othon A. Leon is the managing director and senior research analyst at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies. A current student at the PhD program in Political Science at Concordia University, with three masters’ degrees from ITAM, Université de Montréal and HEC Montréal. He currently lectures in universities around the world. His fields of research include International Relations, Comparative Politics, and War Studies.
Patrick Groeneveld-Meijer is a senior editor and research analyst at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies. He holds office as the elected Vice-president of external affairs at the Concordia Political Science Students Association, where he works to bring influential speakers to the student body. Currently completing an honours degree in political science at Concordia University, his research centres on the international relations and security dynamics of the Middle East and South Eastern Europe.
Pascal Dubois is senior editor and research analyst at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies. An Alumni of Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Pascal will be pursuing a Bachelor of Economics. He currently works as a counsellor in the banking industry, having previously served as an associate at Simkin Legal. His fields of research include French and European politics.
Whitney is an editor at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies and undergraduate in political science at Concordia University. He field of research is focused on international relations and strategic studies with a specialization in theory and methodology.

Jason Poirier Lavoie is a director and senior analyst at the Canadian Centre for Strategic Studies. A former Master Corporal with the Royal Canadian Military Engineers, Jason presently works for Aviation Strategies International, a strategy consulting firm that provides advisory services to the aerospace industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) with distinction in Political Science from Concordia University and a diploma of aircraft maintenance from the École Nationale d'Aerotechnique. Jason is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws at the Université de Montréal.
